Subaru OEM ECU tuning software

What is FastECU OEM ECU tuning software?
FastECU OEM ECU tuning software is based on FastECU standalone EMS tuning software and aims to be some kind of replacement for ECUFlash. It started as an idea of adding Subaru OEM ECU flashing capability to FastECU software when all others refuse or are not so interested to combine tuning/flashing/logging to "all-in-one" is out of development/discontinued and lacking support for certain models. Also most of softwares will suffer to be supported only by Windows, FastECU for OEM will work on Windows and Linux, should also work straight in Mac when compiled, but that is yet untested. Android is maybe getting its own version, but it might take little while cause lack of serial support in QT for Android will force to go little different route.
When it will be released?
There's still much to do as a usable version, as this is project is just started, but hopefully there will be some level working release out soon! As for now it is capable of open, tune and save Subaru ROMs MY01+ (all 16-bit and 32-bit gasoline Densos) with limited RomRaider definition support and with checksum calculation for 32-bit gasoline Densos. As soon as full RomRaider definition support is gained (needs just few modifications), I will add flashing support for 16-bit and 32-bit gasoline turbo K-Line Densos and release first version of software. This will include JDM Subaru Forester Cross Sports too as it is now open sourced! Later on, there will be also CAN-only Denso ECUs and Diesels added. Maybe even more like N/A Hitachi, N/A Densos and MY99-00 JECS, time will show!
Other make/models might also be added, planning to add atleast nisprog-supported ECUs to the list and so on.
TO-DO list (not exactly in this order):
Requirements:
16-bit Densos and JDM Forester Cross Sports will need 6-pin flash connector (or just wires connected with jumper) and K-Line cable that supports toggling so called 'Line End Check 2'. OpenPort 1.3 cable should work straight with this software as it is FTDI-based. Also basic K-Line cable work with 'Line End Check 2' -toggling if wire soldered from serial chip DTR-pin to pin9 (in Subaru FSM this pin is noted as pin8) on OBD-connector. OpenPort 2.0 support is also on its way now.

As I am the author and developer of FastECU tuning software and it will use open source kernels and small snippets of modified code originally developed for nisprog, I will also give huge credits to RomRaider forum users fenugrec as an original author of nisprog and rimwall as starter of modifying nisprog kernels suitable for Subaru world. With their support we manage to unlock and open source JDM Forester Cross Sports flashing capability.
