Reprogramming the ECU (part number 22611AE831) for a GT 2000.

Post by philibert12 »

Hello everyone. :D

I am new here and am writing to see if anyone can help me reprogram the engine control unit (ECU) of a GT 2000 (part number 22611AE831, with the Hitachi WA12212920WWW chip) that was damaged during a previous reprogramming attempt. :|

I have the original .HEX file and am looking for the software to use and the test points on the circuit board (or a photo) to connect to it.
I was wondering if anyone here could explain how to reinstall the original file onto this ECU ?

Does anyone have any additional information regarding this specific ECU, as well as the hardware and PC software required ? :?:

Thanks. ;)

Hi,

FastECU has feature to use uj20 bootmode to flash bricked ECU. Note that sometimes it's possible that ECU is bricked for good and can't be restored.

Instructions to connections:
https://github.com/miikasyvanen/FastECU-m32r-flasher

Then use FastECU with protocol sub_ecu_unisia_jecs_20_bootmode.

Thanks for the reply

However, I don't understand how to use the content of the link you sent—I'm not an software specialist :o/

I can't seem to find the EcuFlash software to download and install on a PC, and I'm not sure how it works.
Could you provide a few more details, or perhaps point me to a tutorial on how to do it? :?:

Thanks in advance. ;)
